Africode is a non-profit organization whose mission is to ensure that every African in Tech is successful.

Since our inception, Africode has supported hundreds of Africans in Tech to achieve their technical goals through

our Mentor Program, AfricodeX and the Africode Community.

Africode mentees have gotten internships at companies such as Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs among others. 

AfricodeX Events

AfricodeX events are 1 hour-long live sessions where Africode members share cool technology, ideas, projects, and learn from other members of the community.

The Africode Mentorship Program

We strongly believe that mentorship matters because the connections built through mentorship can create new opportunities for learning and growth for both the mentor and mentee.

For this reason, Africode runs a yearly mentorship program where we pair Africans working in tech fields with college (university) students in related fields who are looking to start off their career in tech.

The goal of this program is to connect Africans working in the Tech industry with African students aspiring to work in the industry.

Onyedikachi is a long-standing member of the Africode community who works as a Java Developer and STEM advocate in Abuja, Nigeria. He is a former IT support and WordPress developer at Solamith Nigeria Limited, a Software Engineer fellow at TIIDELab, and volunteer Training Facilitator at Suacode.ai and TechQuest STEM Academy, who  introduced Processing language, Robotics, Scratch Programming and Computer Safety to young people.  Onyedikachi joined Africode as a mentee in 2017 and has since grown into a mentor.

Rediet is a raising fourth-year student at Drexel University with a major in Finance and Economics and minor in Computer Science. She was born and raised in Ethiopia, and currently doing her second co-op (internship) with Macquarie Investment Management as an Agile Business Analyst. Prior to that, she worked as a Business Management Associate at Publicis Health Media. Outside of school, she enjoys dancing, reading, and drawing.
